Tyson Shirley, DVM and Owner
Dr. Tyson Shirley grew up in Northeastern Oregon with a love for animals and the great outdoors. He went on to complete a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science from the University of Idaho, a Masters Degree in Animal Nutrition at Oregon State University and then on to graduate from Washington State University with a Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Shirley spends his time away from the office doing anything he can outdoors with his family, whether it is hunting and fishing or pawn shopping for the next great deal.
Dr. Shirley is committed to a high quality of medicine and strives to keep an open communication relationship with his clients. He believes in providing options to his clients for them to decide what the best medicine is for their furry family members depending on their individual circumstances. He enjoys the variety of clients that Nampa offers and their willingness to give their pets the best of care.
Amelia Longworth, DVM
Dr. Amelia Longworth grew up in the Hudson Valley of upstate New York. After high school, she attended the University of Colorado obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with honors. After college, she worked as a veterinary technician for three years before obtaining her DVM, cum laude, from Colorado State University in 2011. The following year, she was selected for a competitive internship in small animal emergency, medicine and surgery at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, CO.
Dr. Longworth loves the clients and patients at Pet Health Clinic. She enjoys providing high quality medicine for her patients and being able to help and support her clients through every medical decision. Her professional interests include surgery and dentistry and she loves the challenge of interesting surgical cases.
Outside of work, Amelia enjoys taking care of her many animals, including dogs, cats, ducks, chickens and cattle. Off the farm, she enjoys skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping and good food.
Lana Roberts, DVM
Dr. Lana Roberts was born and raised in a small town in Iowa. She attended Iowa State University for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. During college she had 2 children, a boy and a girl, who are now adults living in the Treasure Valley. She moved to Meridian in 1998 and joined the Pet Health Clinic team in 2015. She enjoys getting to know the clients and their families and building a personal relationship with each and every one.
Lana loves to be very active and has owned horses most of her life. During the summer, you can often find her in the mountains with her husband and they also love to do some traveling. She offers at-home euthanasia services for a more peaceful and personal experience during this difficult time.
Jenny grew up in Boise and got her bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Idaho. She has been in the veterinary field since 2002 and is very passionate about her job. She takes a special interest in animal behavior and does some dog training on the side. She’s been at Pet Health Clinic since early 2018 and loves being able to make the bond between owners and pets even stronger through education. She does a lot of work with local dog and cat rescues and has a zoo of animals at home that is always varying from all the pet sitting and fostering she does. She lives with her husband, their son, 3 herding breed dogs, and 2 cats.
Shaina was born and raised here in Boise. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2015 as a receptionist and also a kennel manager and has been with Pet Health Clinic since February 2019. She loves being a part of helping animals get the care they need and helping owners find comfort during hard times. Shaina has 2 dogs and 2 betta fish that she adores. Some of her favorite things are hiking with her dogs, enjoying the local dog parks, and she’s also an avid plant lover. She also enjoys a good lazy day at home with her dogs and understands everyone needs some good TLC.
Tammy has lived in Kuna since 2011 but grew up in Long Beach, California. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2005 and has been with Pet Health Clinic since 2015. Her favorite part of being a technician is watching new puppies and kittens grow up. She loves being there for all life stages and helping owners during the fun times and the difficult times. Tammy is a mom of 2 fun loving boys, 3 great dogs and 2 snuggly cats. As a family they enjoy going on walks on the greenbelt and going up in the mountains to ride their dirt bikes.
Danielle Kidd “Dani”
Dani grew up in Garden Valley, Idaho and moved to Kuna back in 2009. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2009 and has been with Pet Health Clinic since 2012. Dani’s favorite part of being a technician is doing dentals and seeing how happy pets are after they get their teeth cleaned. She also enjoys helping sick animals feel better by getting the care they need. Dani has a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful hard working girls who want to grow up to be like their mom, helping sick animals. They have 2 dogs and as a family enjoy going hunting, fishing, and camping. Dani’s dream would be to open a horse rescue and have a few goats of her own.
Candice was raised in Nampa, Idaho. She has been in the veterinary field since 2013. Animals have always been a part of her life, she adores both small and large animals. Candice has a dog, a cat and a lovebird that she loves dearly. Interacting with the animals that come into the clinic and helping clients out through the good and bad times are the things she likes about veterinary medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys being in the outdoors with her husband and 2 kids.
Alina was raised in Idaho but has lived on both the west and east coasts. She has been in the veterinary field for 17 years and has been with Pet Health Clinic since September 2019. Alina’s favorite part of being a technician is helping with surgery and making sure your fur baby has the best care while in our hands. She has 1 dog and 1 cat of her own and one of her loves is going outside and watching the stars with her dog, something she missed while living in Oregon.
Jenn was born in New Mexico and moved to Boise as a teenager. She has been in the Veterinary field since 2009 and has been working at Pet Health Clinic since August 2010. You can find her in the clinic as one of our surgery technicians and she loves to help keep each patients stay as comfortable as she can. She owns three dogs, one cat and a tortoise. Jenn loves spending her time outdoors hiking, camping, and riding her ATV along with her son riding his dirt bike. One of her greatest passions is running when she can and she loves to participate in as many group running events as possible.
Audi was raised in Nampa, Idaho. She started at Pet Health Clinic in 2007 as a kennel assistant and integrated into a veterinary assistant position over time. Her passion in the clinic is assisting in surgery and making each pet’s stay with us as comfortable as possible. Audi has two dogs of her own, Bella, a schipperke, and Cali, a pit bull, and enjoys spending her time in the outdoors with them and her daughter.
Mikayla grew up in Cove, Oregon, and went to vet tech school in Dillon, Montana. She started at Pet Health Clinic in 2017 as an externship for school and after she finished school, she started full time as a veterinary technician. After a year in Nampa, she went back home to help with the family ranch and work at the small town practice. She came back to Pet Health Clinic in August of 2019. Other than with working with small animals, her favorite thing to do is working on her family ranch back in Oregon. Mikayla has one dog named Tripp and loves going on adventures with him.
